From the mouths of babes...

Our move has prompted lots of interesting comments from our kids.  Below are some of our faves:

Funny
Me:  How do you say hello (in Mandarin)?
Tori:  Mee-how (often it ends up sounding like "meow" -- the correct way to say it is "nee-how" and spelled out: Ni hao)

I, being the mom who likes to talk things through with our kids, was telling Tori that we are moving.  She looked at me and said, "Silly Mommy, no we're not!"

"Once our aunt and uncle move to Japan, then we will have family REALLY CLOSE!" -Becca

Becca has been concerned about the 14 hour plane ride (actually, I am too!) so she came up with this plan:  "We could fly to California, stay a couple days.  Fly to Japan, stay a couple days and then fly to China."

Serious
"When we move, can I take my paint (from his room)?" -Josh

"Will people speak our language?  Will I make new friends?" -Becca

After finding out we are not taking any of our furniture: "Can I still take my blanket?" -Josh
