On Saturday, we took a road trip to Shanghai to visit IKEA. We have made many, many trips (and even road trips) to various IKEAs about the U.S. -- I even once browsed through one in Dubai! But this is the first one we've been to in China. Like many things here in China, the store was packed (partially because it was a weekend and partially just because this is China). We had a yummy lunch of Swedish meatballs and got to shopping. Several hours later, we finished our shopping, got some bing qi ling (ice cream) and headed home. A very busy day, but we got all that was on our list (and of course a few other things....)

We love these buses.... the kids call them the "happy buses" -- do you see the face? It only shows up when they brake and totally cracks us up!
