We had our first any o'clock night in China as we stayed up (well, sort of stayed up) and watched the opening ceremonies. We were all sporting our bargained-for-shirts. See Tori yawning in the picture? As I write this, the parade of nations (which I love) is still going on. As a side note, the order for the nations entering the stadium is according to Chinese alphabetical order so it always a surprise who is next! The United States is called Meiguo in Chinese so they were somewhere in the middle. ;-) Josh is asleep on the couch and Becca is just "taking a little rest but NOT going to sleep" also on the couch. Though I can't say too much because I have fallen asleep many nights on these couches myself! While we would love to see the torch lit, I have a feeling all the Wilcoxen will be asleep by then and you all will know who lights it before we do! :-) Several people have asked if we will be able to watch the games or more importantly whether we can watch it in English. Because while I am understanding a little bit of Chinese, there is no way I would follow commentaries! I think we might actually have MORE coverage here - there are at least 5 channels that will show various sports in English. Not to mention the ones that are showing it in Chinese or Japanese! Now who we will be watching could be interesting, though! We really can't complain because we have watched 3 hours and not a commercial yet (all thanks to our Filipino satellite)!
